Usage recommendations for probe BI-1942

In cells

Use at concentration of 1 µM. Note: BI-1829 a closely related structural analog that shows 1000-fold less activity (IC50 = 850 nM) is available from Boehringer Ingelheim, but is only suitable for use as an in vitro control, due to potential hydrolysis of the methyl-ester and no data on the Chymase inhibitory potency of the free acid form of BI-1829.

Use the recommended concentration to avoid off-target toxicity and/or off-target activity. Using concentrations that are higher than recommended could lead to false positive or confounding results.

In vivo

Not for use in vivo.
