Usage recommendations for probe SAFit2 and controls ddSAFit2, 18(S)-Me
In cells
Use at concentration up to 5 µM.
Use the recommended concentration to avoid off-target toxicity and/or off-target activity. Using concentrations that are higher than recommended could lead to false positive or confounding results.
In vivo
Treatment of mice with SAFit2 reduced corticosterone at the peak, but not at the trough, of the circadian glucocorticoid rhythm (dose: 20 mg/kg (IP) twice daily for five days). Further, SAFit2 reduces anxiety related behavior in mice, mechanical hypersensitivity in joint inflammatory and neuropathic pain states in mice. In addition, it reduces body weight and improve glucose tolerance in mice. SAFit2 has a moderate brain-penetration potential.
