Usage recommendations for probe BAY-826 and control BAY-309

In cells

Use at concentrations below 500 nM to avoid inhibition of other kinases.

Note that BAY-826 inhibits four kinases: TIE1, TIE2, DDR1 and DDR2. Combine analysis with genetic methods or specific inhibitors for Tie-1, Tie-2, DDR1 or DDR2 to link phenotype to specific kinase., e.g. the DDR1, DDR2, MAPK11, MAPK14 probe, SR-302, available from this website.

Use the recommended concentration to avoid off-target toxicity and/or off-target activity. Using concentrations that are higher than recommended could lead to false positive or confounding results.

In vivo

Use at concentrations between 25 and 50 mg/kg in mice. For details look at downloadable information.
