Use GSM1 at concentrations of 1 µM or less in cell-based experiments.

We recommend to use the gamma secretase complex probe MRK-560 also available from SGC for control experiments.

Use the recommended concentration to avoid off-target toxicity and/or off-target activity. Using concentrations that are higher than recommended could lead to false positive or confounding results.

In vivo

Tested in rat (2 mg/kg (po); 1 mg/kg (iv)), dog (0.5 mg/kg (po); 0.25 mg/kg (iv)) and rhesus monkey (0.5 mg/kg (po); 0.25 mg/kg (iv)). In SD rats at 100 mg/kg (po) a plasma exposure of 880 mMhr was achieved which led to a brain Ab42 reduction of 92% 6 hrs after a single dose.
